Lara E. Gill

Of Counsel

Lara E. Gill specializes in Constitutional law, §1983 litigation, and police defense. She is honored to anchor L.S. Miller Law’s Tennessee office. The daughter of a retired USAF Colonel, Lara attended Centenary College of Louisiana for undergraduate studies. She graduated from Mississippi College of Law in 2000 and received the American Jurisprudence award for Women and the Law.  Lara is licensed in both Tennessee and Mississippi.

While in Mississippi, Lara worked as a deputy city attorney. She also served as a Character and Fitness Committee member for the Mississippi Bar.  In 2013, she appeared before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, arguing a complicated FLSA case, and received a favorable judgment in only 13 days. In 2018, Lara returned to Tennessee, where she served as  Senior Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Health in Nashville, Tennessee. Lara moved to East Tennessee in 2023, where she worked as an Assistant District Attorney
