Blair Stevens

Associate Attorney

Blair is a former prosecutor who draws on her experience prosecuting felony cases and advising law enforcement to defend officers, law enforcement agencies, governmental entities, and public officials in state and federal civil litigation. Her practice focuses on civil rights and § 1983 litigation, including claims involving excessive force, unlawful search and seizure, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and related state law claims.

Blair also represents law enforcement officers in connection with officer involved shootings and other critical incidents. Her experience working directly with officers and investigators provides her with a practical understanding of police practices, criminal investigations, use of force issues, and the constitutional principles that govern law enforcement encounters.

Prior to joining L.S. Miller Law, Blair served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fayette County, Kentucky, where she prosecuted felony cases from investigation through trial. Her practice emphasized violent offenses, child abuse, and Special Victims Unit prosecutions. She worked closely with law enforcement throughout the investigative process, advising officers on constitutional issues, search and seizure, arrest standards, and evidentiary matters. Blair routinely presented cases to grand juries, litigated evidentiary hearings, conducted jury trials, and worked alongside investigators and other professionals in the investigation and prosecution of serious criminal offenses.

Blair’s prosecutorial background gives her valuable insight into the decisions law enforcement officers make before, during, and after critical incidents. Having worked alongside law enforcement throughout her career, she understands both the legal standards governing police conduct and the practical realities officers face in the field. She now brings that perspective to the representation of officers and agencies in civil litigation and critical incident matters.
