Hydee Richelle Hawkins is honored to serve as Of Counsel at L.S. Miller Law, PLLC. She most recently served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky for twenty-three years where she handled a variety of criminal cases and served as the District’s Senior Litigation Counsel and Criminal Discovery Coordinator for many years, conducting in-house trainings for attorneys and staff addition to conducting outside trainings for local, state, and federal prosecutors and local, state, and federal law enforcement officers. She has been a public servant her entire career.
Hydee began her career as a local prosecutor in Ventura County, California and San Diego California. When she moved to Kentucky, she worked for the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office as a prosecutor in the Special Prosecutions Unit. She next worked as an attorney with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) and then in the civil division of the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office (KYOAG) before becoming an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Hydee currently serves as a contract legal instructor at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT).
